It was developed with a subject matter partner, Big Eagle Services, as a flexible field management, dispatch, and safety management tool for the Oilfield Services industry. The product contained a host of features including: mobile phone management, dynamic revenue forecasting, complete safety incident management, comprehensive dispatch scheduling algorithms, vehicle/unit/personnel dispatch, ERP integration, GPS integration, on-road/off-road fuel tax rebate calculation, and many others.

Founded in 2007, The Boreal Systems was created to solve a problem. Developing their product hand-in-hand with a target company, the software was developed as a specialty product to service a niche market.
